End of Cold War and Emergence of New Cold War

Cold war basically a conflict, tension and struggle for dominance between USSR and USA for more then four decade on twentieth century i.e. 1945-1989. During this tenure the whole was divided into two polls and one non aligned block which stay neutral during this struggle. One block was eastern block lead by USSR and its WARSAW PACT which was communist and socialist states, and other block lead by USA and its allies NATO known as western block of capitalistic democratic nations. The third neutral block was actually group of nations who formed non aligned movement. 

The cold war was ended peacefully without any nuclear or catastrophic direct war between both the super powers of the world at that time. But the whole tenure was very disturbing for the whole world. Both the nations used every type of strategy to demoralized or degrade each other. Strategies like espionage, propaganda, proxy wars, arms race, deterrence and star war used against each other. Both nations spent billions of dollars on weapons, proxy wars and on many other ways. The economic backwardness of USSR due to its costly wars in satellites states lead towards emergence of political rifts within USSR and its neighboring eastern European and central Asian states. This political tension coupled with poor economic conditions lead toward disintegration of USSR, reunification of Germany and emergence of fifteen independence states.  

But the world has been facing many other circumstances after the end of cold war and many scholars predicted different forms of world future. One of those times was Francis Fukuyama’s End of History and Samuel P Huntington’s Clash of Civilization. On the other hand USA presented its own world order and world was unipolar. USA being the sole super power must behave very maturely which it did for at least next two decades and used his preemptive strategy tried to counter any future threat which hinder the way of spread of American liberal democratic values. Iraq Invasion was one of those strategies. 

But the incidence of 9/11 and US involvement in almost all the minor and major conflicts in the world of every kind changed the history of the world. The declining economic dominance of Europe and USA and emergence of many other super powers in politics of the world became the cause of emergence of new cold war. The actors of this new cold war is predicted by historian are China, and USA. Few scholars consider reemergence of Russia combine with Chinese block will be next competitors in new cold war against USA lead western block.
