evolutionary process for the formation of British constitution.
There is no fixed legislature, constitution convention formed this
constitution. And there is not fixed date and time in its formation.

Flexible
and easy to amend. Even common legislation can amend with majority
votes

Rigid and very tough procedure of amendments. There is only 27 amendments
in this constitution

Parliamentary
form of government. Great cooperation between legislature and administration.
Authorities are hold by prime minister and cabinet. King or queen is just
constitutional head. Prime minister and his cabinet are answerable to
parliament and they can retain in their office until confidence of
parliament.

Presidential
form of government. Principe of separation of power is adopted. President
administrative and congress perform legislation functions. President and his
ministers are not members of congress and not answerable to congress.

Parliamentary
supremacy and no institution above the parliament.

Constitutional
supremacy and no law formulate against the constitution.

Unitary
system of government in which whole authorities under the central
government.
|
Federation
form of government in which authorities are distributed between
units and center.
|
UK highest court does not have such powers.
|
US
supreme court has powers of judicial review because of this court
can eliminate any law which is against the constitution passed by congress or
states assemblies.

House
of lords hereditary and nominated. House or commons are elected
|
Both houses are elected directly.
|
High
difference between ideology and action. As sovereignty belongs to
king in ideological basis while actually prime minister hold such powers
along with democratic form of government.

All functions are performed according to constitutions and there is
no difference between action and ideology.

Basis
human rights are not in the form of written documents in constitution of
Britain but judicial decision support these rights.

Basic human rights are given in first ten amendments in constitution and
these rights are protected by court.

Political
parties are based on ideology like conservative party based on traditional institutions and
conventions while labor party
focuses on socialism and democracy.

Political parties in USA do have clear
differences in their goals and program and polices. As said by Lord Brice “US Political parties are just like two bottles of wine
with different labels but have same wine inside”
